Eye LASIK Surgery Cost

Often not even done anything to get the eyes to penetrate. By this I mean they really have not personally damaged to the point where they need a visual aid. If you're like many who are just born with eyes screwed, and have had to deal with the problems of glasses or contact lenses during a time that is too long to remember.

Is it worth it? - Discomfort. That is the question you should ask. Contacts came and made it more convenient, but what now? Surgery for the eyes! The eye lasik surgery has been around for several years, and it's amazing how many people are still skeptical.

What is Eye Lasik Surgery?

Good question - good question. Lasik is an acronym for laser assisted in situ keratomileusis. Is a procedure that uses a laser to correct the shape of the eye, as a result of correcting a patient's vision.

The first form of Eye LASIK surgery was in 1970, when Dr. Jose Barraquer, made possible by developing first microkeratome. The microkeratome is used to cut thin flaps in the cornea and alter its shape, in a procedure called keratomileusis. Based on the work of Dr. Lucio Buratto Dr. Barraquer in 1990 and Dr. Ioannis Pallikaris took the technique and did it very effective and safe.

With the long history behind the surgery, there is a need to be skeptical. I would recommend consulting your eye doctor for more advice about the surgery and to see when and if it is right for you. Good luck, happy sight!
